TrueLine Bets ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our sports betting analytics platform ("the Service"), which includes our website at truelinebets.com and our mobile applications.
By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with the practices described herein, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Email address and password when you create an account
- Betting Data: Bet details you enter including sport, selection, odds, stake, sportsbook, market type, date/time placed, settlement results, and notes
- Bankroll Information: Starting bankroll amount and bankroll history used to power digital twin and Monte Carlo simulations
- Screenshot Uploads: Bet slip screenshots you upload for automated import are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to extract bet details, then discarded after processing
- Payment Information: Billing details when you subscribe to a paid plan (processed entirely by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers)
- Communications: Any information you provide when contacting our support
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, click patterns, and time spent on the Service
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and (on mobile) device model and OS version
- Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and error logs
- Mobile App Data: Crash logs, app performance diagnostics, and (if you enable them) push notification tokens used solely to deliver notifications you have opted into
- Local Storage: Preferences such as UI settings stored in your browser's local storage or your device's app storage
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Authentication Provider (Supabase): Account session data and authentication tokens
- Payment Processor (Stripe): Subscription status and billing history (not credit card details)
- Odds Data (The Odds API, ESPN API): We fetch live odds and game data from third-party providers; this does not include your personal information
- AI Provider (Anthropic): When you use AI features such as picks, chat, or screenshot import, your relevant inputs are processed by Anthropic's Claude API and returned to us
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process your account registration and manage your subscription
- Analyze your betting data to generate performance analytics, CLV tracking, pattern detection, and AI-powered recommendations
- Process bet slip screenshots through AI to automatically extract and import bet details
- Display personalized dashboards, statistics, and insights
- Compare odds across sportsbooks and surface value opportunities
- Process payments and manage billing through Stripe
- Send transactional and account-related emails through our email provider
- Communicate with you about your account, service updates, and support requests
- Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account and betting data are stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted database storage with row-level security (RLS) policies. This means your data is accessible only to your authenticated account — other users cannot access your betting records.
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, and we never receive, process, or store your full credit card number.
No AI training on your data: We do not use your personal data, betting records, or uploaded screenshots to train AI models. Our AI provider (Anthropic) processes your inputs under contractual terms that prohibit training on customer inputs and outputs by default.
While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information or individual betting data. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We share data with third-party services that help us operate the Service, including Supabase (database/authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (DNS and edge networking), Anthropic (AI processing for picks, chat, and screenshot import), and Resend (transactional email delivery). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and process it only for the purposes we specify.
- Aggregated Data: We may use and share aggregated, anonymized data that cannot reasonably identify you for internal analytics, research, and product improvement.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or the rights, safety, or property of others.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and betting data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or compliance purposes. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.
Bet slip screenshots uploaded for automated import are processed and then discarded; we do not retain the original image files after extraction is complete.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
- Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time

7.1 Additional Rights for EU, UK, and California Residents

Users located in California may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. 8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Service uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication, session management, and storing your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. We do not serve advertisements on the Service.
You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences, but disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
9. Age Restrictions
The Service is intended only for users who are of legal gambling age in their jurisdiction (18 or 19, depending on the province, state, or country). The Service is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under that age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under the legal gambling age in their jurisdiction, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. TrueLine Bets is an analytics platform. We do not facilitate, accept, or process gambling wagers.
10. Canadian Privacy Law Compliance
TrueLine Bets is operated from Saskatchewan, Canada. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. You have the right to access and correct your personal information, to withdraw consent for data processing, and to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in jurisdictions outside of Canada, including the United States, where our service providers operate. When data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through contractual obligations with our service providers. If you access the Service through a mobile application distributed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, those platforms may also process limited data (such as installation and crash reports) under their own privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Service, or applicable law.
